Broadcast times for Triangle and Stratos confirmed!
Triangle Television and Stratos confirmed their broadcast
times for Taekwon-Do Television 2008. The show runs for
five consecutive weeks on both stations as follows:
Triangle Stratos, Tuesdays at 9.00 pm
from 9 December (Sky channel 89 and Freeview Digital)
Triangle Television (Auckland), Saturdays
at 7.30 pm from 6 December (UHF)
Triangle Television (Wellington) Sundays
at 7.30 pm from 7 December (UHF)

Dear ITFNZ Taekwon-Do Members
This year’s National Tournament and Taekwon-Do
Television series need sponsors. We have 10
gold sponsor spots available at $1500 each, or 20 silver
sponsors at $750 each, or a combination of the two.
In the past, Mr Banicevich and Mr Matthews have gone
out to cold call companies to achieve many of the sponsors,
but this year we need your help. Do you work for a company?
Perhaps that company would give $1,500 to sponsor the
ITFNZ Taekwon-Do National Tournament. Do any of your
students work for a company or have parents who work
for a company? Perhaps these companies would give $1,500
to sponsor the ITFNZ Taekwon‑Do
National Tournament. This is what $1,500 gets them:
- Sixteen 15sec or eight 30sec advertisements on Triangle
Television. A 15sec advert shown twice or a 30sec advert
shown once during each episode of Taekwon-Do Television.
(All adverts supplied by the sponsor. Carl and Mark
Productions can create 15 second adverts for as little
as $500!)
- Your logo shown during the closing credits of every
episode of Taekwon-Do Television.
- A banner or sign promoting your company displayed
at the venue during the National Tournament (supplied
by the sponsor).
- At least four live mentions during the weekend,
including at least one brief interview (sponsor to
provide the interviewee).
- Your company logo and contact details on the official
National Tournament programme (logo provided by sponsor).
- Your company logo on official entry tickets to the
National Tournament.
- Your company logo, description and weblink on the
ITFNZ Taekwon-Do website at www.itfnz.org.nz/news/tkdtelly.html.
The ITFNZ website received 1.2m hits from 46,600 visitors
in March 2007.
- Your company logo in 2008 issue 3 of Taekwon-Do
Talk, the official magazine of ITFNZ Taekwon-Do, delivered
to every member of ITFNZ in December 2008.
- 2 complimentary tickets to the National Awards and
Finals Dinner.
- 10 complimentary entry tickets to the National Tournament.
- Your company’s sample product and brochure
in official competitor and umpire gift bags (samples
and brochures supplied by sponsor, optional).
- Your company logo on the big screen when live action
is not playing.
Taekwon-Do Television is expected to air on Triangle
Auckland and Triangle Wellington, with a two hour special
on Sky TV (usually shown four times). To air the advertisement
on Sky TV requires the sponsor to obtain broadcasting
authority approval, which costs around $200.

Kickstart your career in television!
Taekwon-Do Television needs you!
Producing
a television series takes a lot of work but it can also
be very rewarding. You get to work with some great people,
and learn about television production and video editing.
Perhaps you are studying or already working in the graphic
design, media or television industry? Working on Taekwon-Do
Television is a great experience and could help your career!
Carl and Mark put in a lot of hours last year and we
need more help if we are to continue making a great series.
The more people we can get on the team the easier it will
be for all of us.
We need people who are available during October and November
2008 to help with :
- Capturing the tapes into digital format –
Simple process that requires a video camera, a computer
and some time.
- Graphic Design – for titles, logo’s
transitions etc
- Video Editing - cutting footage into sequences
(we can teach people the software if they are willing
to help and learn)
- Helping select clips for the opening and closing credits
- Creating adverts for ITFNZ or our sponsor
- DVD production
Even if you can only help with one of the above, we want
to hear from you as soon as possible. Ideally we need
people within the Auckland area and some of the work can
be done at home when you have free time. We don’t
expect you to take time off work or school for this, but
we do need a firm commitment that you can donate your
time to this project. Yes donate, the pay is horrible
but the experience is well worth it!
You don’t have to be part of ITFNZ to help with
the television show, so if you know someone who could
be interested please contact us as soon as possible.
