Counties Manukau had the privilege of being visited by practically the entire Cook Islands TKD membership in April 2010. The group of around 60 training members plus supports visited New Zealand on the invitation of Mr and Mrs Iotua, who were responsible for much of the work re-establishing ITF in the Cook Islands. The team was made up of two clubs who joined with each other for special trainings with Master McPhail, Mr Steve Pellow and Mr Mark Trotter. They graded with the Papakura Branch on Wednesday 21st April - a night that will be remembered by all that were present. What an awesome grading that was! They took part on the Star Series Tournament on Saturday 24th April - a first for most of them, and adding much a positive atmosphere to the event. Tribal Taekwon-Do put on a special awards evening April, some photos of which are below. Counties Manukau will be reciprocating with a visit to Rarotonga in October 2010.
