Photos of the Dinner in Auckland
Following the National Tournament and Awards dinner in
Wellington, those in the Auckland area (and some travlled
from Wellington!) had opportunity spend the evening with
Grand Master C.E. Sereff, 9th dan.
Grand Master Sereff is a legend in Taekwon-Do. He began
his training in the 1960s and went on to be the
first non-Korean in the world to be promoted to Master.
He was there at the very first International Instructors
Course conducted by General Choi Hong Hi, and he accompanied
the General on many trips around the world. He visited
New Zealand in 1985 for the Sharp Tournament and ITFNZ
became the Sister Organisation to the USTF. Since then
many Kiwis have traveled to the States for the famous Summer
Camp in the Rocky Mountains.
The dinner took place in an intimate setting with
strictly limited numbers. He spoke about his
experiences traveling with General Choi Hong Hi, which
was tuely inspiring.
