Do you have an Administrative Database login issued by the DB Manager?
Yes or
No
####
Are you a 'Normal ITFNZ Member'. (you do NOT have a 'Database' login).
You will login with your Lastname and Membership number, and a password.
(if you do not know your membership#, ask your Instructor)
To get a password, click
here.
You will receive a temporary password by email.
You must know exactly what your email address is
in your Instructor's clublist.
Otherwise it will not match and it will not send a password.
This is a security measure - if the person trying to get a password does not know the email address you gave the Instructor,
the system is not going to believe they are you.
Your clublist registration must be current.
Once you have received the temporary password by email,
put your lastname (e.g. smith ) into the box marked "Surname"
Put your membership number (e.g 54321 ) into the box marked "membership number".
Put the password into the box marked Password.
Click Login
You will be warned every time you use the temporary password, until you change it to a password of your choice
using the Change Password at the bottom right of the My-Info page.
Passwords must be at least 6 characters long, at least two of those must be non-letters, and cannot be all numbers.
If you have forgotten your password, refer to 'Forgotten passwords' below.

Do you have an ITFNZ Administrative Database login and password.
( i.e. an Instructor, Administrator, Examiner, Committee member, tournament organiser or other, who was issued a login and password)
(NOT the old "Instructors' page" password - 'sab.....')
You must use your Database login and password to get full access - NOT your lastname and membership number.
A login that was issued to Mr John Smith would be similar to 'jsmith'.
In the box marked "Login", you put the login that you have always used for the database. e.g. jsmith
You put nothing in the Membership number box
You put the password that you have used in the past to access the ITFNZ database, into the Password box.
Do NOT use the old "Instructors' page" password ('sab.....'), only a password you were issued or changed yourself later on.
If necessary, you can use the Forgotten Password link under the login area to send you a temporary password.
You will be warned every time you use the temporary password, until you change it to a password of your choice
using the Change Password at the bottom right of the My-Info page.
After clicking Login, you will arrive at the My-Info page, where you will find links to the Clublist database etc.
Using a Database link will send you to the old familiar online system, just as though you had logged into it with
your Instructor login, or your Examiner login, etc etc, depending on which link you use.
Note that even though you might have initially logged in as 'jsmith', the system will know if you had
e.g. a separate Examiner login, and will invisibly take care of that when you select the 'Examiner Database' link.
####
Are you torn as to which login to use (if you have more than one).
You can use (and continue to do so) any of your existing logins for the first step of getting to the My-Info page.
Once you have passed the password test, the system accepts that you are you, and it knows if you have logins for other jobs.
Only then do you have to decide which hat to wear.
When you select a Clublist link, or an Examiner link (etc), the system automatically and invisibly uses the relevant old login to put you in the familiar Online Database System, with the appropriate access for that job.
When a password is changed, using the 'Change password' either on the My-Info page or in the Database System screens, it now changes to the same thing for all logins you may have.
To avoid confusion, it is suggested you use the Change Password to catch up all your passwords to the same thing.
(you can put the same thing in the Old and new password boxes, to cause your 'other' logins to be set to the same password as this login)
####
Is it saying 'Please use your normal database password.' but you don't remember having one.
It may be you had access as a tournament organiser, team manager, or some such at another time.
Please contact the
and ask to have your old database login removed

Forgotten Passwords
First - if you thought you knew what it was but it fails, ensure you don't have CAPS LOCK ON.
If you have forgotten your password, click
here to have a temporary password emailed to you.
If you have used the Forgotten Password link and an email hasn't arrived - make sure the email address you use is exactly the same as the one
in your Instructor's clublist.
It will usually arrive in less than a minute - but depending on your mail service, could take hours.
Either get your instructor to check your email address in the online clublist records, or if that fails,
contact the
.
The forgotten password link will auto-generate a temporary password and email it to your registered email address.
When you use it to login, you should then use the Change Password function at the bottom right of the My-Info screen
to change to a password of your choice.
You will be warned every time you use the temporary password, until you change it to a password of your choice.
If you have one or more 'special' login, Instructor, Examiner, etc, then the password will work with any of these logins,
and changing the password will change it for all such logins.
