Central Districts Taekwon-Do is pleased to announce that Phil Thompson, of Protect Self Defence, is returning to Palmerston North for a self-defence seminar.

The seminar will include elements from his popular first course such as:

  • Avoidance, awareness and recognition strategies
  • Defusion and de-escalation strategies and tactics
  • Physical defence training across multiple ranges
  • The 'Shredder' concept
  • Understanding the behavioural and psychological aspects to violence and self protection
  • Post event issues management

And now for the first time, defence against edged weapons!

Venue: Palmerston North Boys' High School, Old Gym, Featherston Street
Parking: on the street
Time: 9:00am - 4:00pm
Cost: International Taekwon-Do members $79; non-members $89

You must be 15 years or over to attend.
This event is open to students of other martial arts and the general public.

Payment must be made in full before your registration will be accepted. A uniform is not required. You are advised to wear sport shoes and clothing that you won’t mind getting damaged. Training drills will be vigorous and participants will be exposed to coarse language. Bring your own refreshments. Cancellations will be accepted, and a full refund will be given, provided that a minimum of 48 hours notice is sent to the Organiser.
