From the Do Jang to the Streets – Bridging the Gap

Sunday 30th October 2016, 198 Marua Road, Ellerslie, Auckland

By Master Mahesh Bhana, 8th dan

The Do Jang is an ideal training ground for learning Taekwon-Do, however, when you step out of the Do Jang, reality changes and so do the rules. This seminar is about how we transition from the Do Jang to the streets and have the confidence that our skills and training in Taekwon-Do will be effective should we have to use it.

The seminar will cover:

  • How we apply fundamental movements in a real situation, this includes both hand and foot techniques, movements from patterns, flying kicks etc
  • Adapting our self-defence to be more street ready/savvy
  • Strategies of how to look after yourself in the street
  • Understanding vital spots and reflex action
  • Conditioning and how we train to develop devastating techniques
  • Develop your confidence through a better understanding of application

This seminar is open to anyone over the age of 15 years, blue belt and above, who is serious about expanding their self-defence knowledge. Train and learn alongside others and gain a better understanding of self defence.

Spaces are limited, so be in quick.
