Congratulations to Mr Doug Hanna - who has again been appointed the official New Zealand Journalist / Photographer for the upcoming World Championships in Argentina.
As in the past, Mr Hanna will no doubt perform to the highest level of reporting and photography, and is already in the process of setting up pages so you can tune in on all the pre-tourmanet action, including trials and trainings. Watch this space.
ITFNZ has confirmed funding for three umpires to represent ITFNZ at the ITF World Champs in Mar Del Plata, Argentina (26-29 November 2009). Applications for selection as a funded NZ umpire are now being sought.
Applicants must hold a current ITF umpires qualification and be available to travel to Mar Del Plata to arrive no later than November 24th – there is a compulsory umpires meeting on the afternoon of November 25th. ITFNZ will fund the value of one return airfare from Auckland to Mar del Plata for each selected umpire. Other travel and accommodation costs (including internal NZ travel to/from Auckland, and any other international travel by the umpire before or after the champs) will not be funded by ITFNZ. The ITF will pay for 5 night’s hotel accommodation including full board from Wednesday, November 25th, 2009 to Monday November 30th, 2009. Applicants should therefore assume that they will have to pay for accommodation in Mar Del Plata on the night of the 24th November.
Applications including TKD CV’s (tailored to umpiring expertise and experience) should be forwarded in electronic format to the Tournaments Director no later than May 15th for consideration.
