The gradings in New Zealand are some of the most stringent in the world. Every grading is scheduled by the Technical Advisor and conducted by appointed examiners.
All examiners, before being appointed must be at least a 4th degree black belt and hold an ITF International Instructors' Certificate. They must pass an examiners course and then carry out at least one year's practical training.
