This is primarily a course for beginners, but all are welcome, especially experienced officials to share their knowledge. We will be focusing on the sparring aspect of being an official, but will cover the other areas briefly. Parents of students are most welcome to attend and qualify themselves, you dont have to be a practising student! Start time is 8.30am sharp at Silla Do Jung. After the course at 12pm we will move to a mini kids tournament for the remainder of the afternoon which is also a Midlands Regional Training Session. Our coach Mr Black will be there to give you direction. This tournament is for beginners mainly, so they can experience sparring in a no pressure environment. But we will be doing some full-on experienced sparring with senior blues and reds so I can see who has potential as a centre referee. We will be starting and stopping matches to give advice to newbie referees, judges and jurors during the bouts, while Mr Black and other experienced Midlands seniors also advise competitors. More details about the mini kids event will be out soon. Each person attending will need to:
