South Island Camp 2023

Open to all grades and ages! We are also open to enrolments from all over the country if you have any students you think might be keen to come and train with us South Island folk.

Why are we having a camp?

  • To build strong relationships between our clubs and their members.
  • To have senior instructors inspiring and training us over a condensed two-day period in the beautiful sunny Tasman/ Nelson region.
  • To allow our local and regional members a training experience to remember.

Cost

Camp cost includes training, dorm accommodation and all meals in a fantastic facility! There is a pool, hall, and multiple training areas:

  • $140 Per person, $220 for two from the same family, $300 max per family of training members.

**Please note all subsidies are provide by the Nelson Camp Team, who are dedicating a lot of time fundraising for this. Discounts not provided by the venue.

  • Non training adults may stay on site – cost $140 per adult. Not included in subsidised family rate
  • We can put larger families together if requested, please contact us to organise.
  • Camp T-Shirt. A camp T-shirt will be available to purchase for $20 per person. Cut off date for ordering 3rd February 2023

What to bring

  • Dobok & belt
  • Sparring gear if you have it
  • Gym clothes
  • Mouthguard
  • Drink bottle
  • Running shoes
  • Notebook and pen (to take notes if you wish)
  • Bedding (e.g., Sleeping bag or blankets/sheets and pillow)
  • Toiletries, towels, and medication
  • Warm clothes for evenings
  • Swimming togs
  • Sunscreen/hat
  • A positive attitude for a fun weekend of training!

Conditions

Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver throughout the duration of their stay. This adult can be a fellow club member who is attending camp and willing to be responsible for the child, or parents/caregivers who are training members.
The venue requires us to confirm attendees 14 days from the camp. Unfortunately, we cannot refund if you cancel within 14 days of the camp commencement.
