A HUGE thank you to Master Ung Kim Lan for all his time, energy and expertise shared with the New Zealand Team and other black belts. The trip to New Zealand was very successful and we would love to invite Master Lan back in the near future, with the possibility of classes for all grades.
Coaching & Selections are pleased to announce MASTER UNG KIM LAN is to be our special guest in January 2011 to assist the NEW ZEALAND TEAM in their preparations for the ITF World Championships.
Master Lan started Taekwon-Do in Vietnam in1965, then moved to Germany in 1969 to study mechanical engineering. Master Lan was a highly successful competitor in the 1970s and 1980s, with numerous free sparring and patterns titles. General Choi awarded him 7th degree in Toronto, Canada, in 1996.
Master Lan first coached the German team in 1992 for the World Championships in North Korea. He is now widely regarded as one of the world’s most successful Taekwon-Do coaches, and widely respected for the courtesy and respect he always shows to opposing coaches and athletes, as well as umpires and his own team.
