2nd Oceania Championships - 200423, 24, 25 October 2004 - ASB Stadium, Auckland NEWS | SCHEDULE | RULES | ENTRY FORMS | ACCOMMODATION | ORGANISERS | RESULTS |PHOTOS RULES:Competition is open to yellow belts and above in Sparring, Special Techniques and Patterns, and to yellow belts and above over the age of 16 in Power. Black belts can also compete in Team Sparring. Sparring - now includes a Veterans division. Uniform and Equipment - For sparring mouth guards are compulsory. (Helmets are optional and supplied by ITFNZ if needed). Sparrers should wear red or blue boots & gloves according to their corner - otherwise black. (Boots & Gloves are also available to loan from ITFNZ.) It is not neccessary to wear the name of your Contry or organistion on the back of the dobok. Special Techniques - will be divided into male / female divisions, and coloured belt / black belt divisions. Juniors / Seniors will compete in the same division. Patterns - will be divided into male / female divisions, and the ITF belt divisions. Juniors / Seniors will compete in the same division. Power - will be divided into male / female divisions, and coloured The Team Sparring Event is between "Organisations". For example, there may be teams entered from ITFNZ, ITF Australia, RTR etc. It is also divided into male and female divisions. Each Organisation is entitled to enter two Junior teams (1 male and 1 female) as well as two Senior teams (1 male & 1 female). However, the Junior and Senior teams will be competing in the same division. Organisations which do not have enough competitors to enter a team themselves may be permitted to form teams jointly with other organisations. Thus, as an example, there might be a joint Jamaica/RTR team. Such joint teams must be approved in advance by the organisers. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners receive medals plus Best Overall Trophies for Male Black Belt, Female Black Belt, Male Coloured Belt, Female Coloured Belt. All events are Individual events (sparring, patterns, special techniques and power) plus Team Sparring. The organisers reserve the right to merge divisions as required. ITF rules apply with some amendments as seen appropriate by the organisers, such as those above. |
