Master Gray Patterson, 8th degree black belt, started his Taekwon-Do training at the Khandallah club in 1987. He has had an active Taekwon-Do career, including being Head Instructor of the Khandallah club (1994-2007); an official examiner since 2000; New Zealand Team Member (1997-2003); England Team Member and Coach (2008-2011); New Zealand Team Assistant Coach 2004-2005, 2012-2013; New Zealand Team Head Coach 2014-2021; and various official posts including President of International Taekwon-Do Foundation of New Zealand (ITFNZ).
Currently a 7th Degree Black Belt, Master Patterson (nee. Main) started her training in 1996 at the Massey University Club under Mr Lawrence Mantjika (now Master). Relocating to the Wellington region as a blue belt in 1998, she continued her Taekwon-Do training at the Khandallah Club. She has represented and New Zealand in 2003, 2005, 2013, and 2015. In 2007 she relocated to the UK where she trained and instructed with Master Thomas Denis and represented and coached the English team from 2008-2011. Upon returning to NZ in 2011 she continued to represent New Zealand at the 2013 and 2015 world championships and then took up a role of coaching the New Zealand team. In 2012 she established Pil Sung Taekwon-Do in Petone with her husband Master Gray Patterson.

Ms Taylor started Taekwon-Do at the Khandallah club in 2016 and earned her first degree black belt in 2021. She was appointed Assistant Instructor of the Kapiti club in September 2023 then became the head instructor in December that year.

Mr Lee joined ITFNZ - North Wellington in mid 2002 as an enthusiastic late starter under the instruction of Mrs Beryl Pimblott (3rd Dan) and graded to 1st Dan in 2006.
Mr Lee says that his energy and passion for Taekwon-Do grew rapidly with Mrs Pimblotts instruction style'' and now as head Instructor of the club it is that same energy and passion he is looking to pay forward into the next generation of North Wellington students. Mr Ren started ITF Taekwon-Do training at the Khandallah Club in 2004 under Master Gray Patterson and then started the Courage ITF Taekwon-Do club in 2019.

Brett Kraiger started Taekwon-Do in 1989, and has been teaching since 1995. He has a passion for helping people achieve more than they ever thought possible through Taekwon-Do.
Master Darren Ward started training in 1991, and is a regional examiner and an active international umpire. He teaches umpire courses within NZ and is passionate developing students to improve their technical abilities

Ms Young began training in 2007 under Master Graham Patterson. She aims to foster a family friendly atmosphere at the Khandallah TKD Club, and enjoys seeing students gain confidence and lifelong skills in Taekwon-Do.
Brittany Young began training in 2007 under Master Graham Patterson at the Khandallah club. Currently a 3rd degree black belt, Brittany has grown up training and teaching within the club, and enjoys the strong family friendly environment and watching students find their passion in Taekwon-Do.

Mr. Wong began his Taekwon-Do journey in 1999. At first, he wanted to learn self-defence and get in shape, and Taekwon-Do has become a part of his life over two decades later. He was formerly a co-instructor at the Miramar Taekwon-Do club and is currently the Head Instructor of Legacy Taekwon-Do. As an instructor, his mission is to assist students to reach their potential both inside and outside of the Taekwondo whanau by imparting his knowledge of the art.

Simon Lloyd-Evans began his training in the UK when he was a teenager, where he achieved a rank of Blue Belt. When he got to NZ he decided to start training again but it had been over 10 years since he had trained. He decided to start at white belt again in 2000, at the age of 30, and received his 1st Dan Black Belt in November 2003, he is now a 3rd Dan Black Belt.
Leaine Devine began her training in 2013 at age 35 along with her two daughters at the Thorndon Spirit Taekwon-Do Club under Mr. Burns. They moved up to Kelburn''s Spirit club when Thorndon shut down and continued their training under Mr. Lloyd Evans. Her husband and third daughter joined in the next year, and the whole family thrived under the family friendly sessions at Kelburn.

Mr Meek originally started Taekwon-Do as a teenager at the Khandallah club in 1995 under Master Patterson. After a few years break, he then returned back to the Khandallah club in the early 2000''s as an adult where he has trained ever since until recently opening the Lyall Bay club in 2020. Mr Meek has been involved in many events and tournaments over the years and 2 of his (now adult) children have also gone through the ranks, and therefore understands the importance of a great fun and family atmosphere while also giving 100% in both training and instructing.
