The QEYC is located in central Tauranga neighbouring the popular Memorial Park. The centre was upgraded in 2006 and is now a much sort after venue for hosting not only sporting and recreation activities but also minor and major non-sporting events.
The QEYC is well utilised by the volleyball and basketball fraternity to host junior, senior and social competitions and other popular codes include badminton and indoor bowls.
