Master Leong Visit - 1999

Master Leong Wai Meng

Congratulations to Mr Steve Pellow for being Promoted to 5th dan by Master Leong Wai Meng. Master Leong put Mr Pellow through an hour and a half of patterns, pre-arranged sparring, free sparring, self defence, theory and destructions.

Master Leong announced the results at the end of the grading - to the thrill of the large group of spectators. Master Leong actually gave the result of each aspect of the grading as it was happening - something new for us - and hard on the nerves for Mr Pellow!

The Seminars:

Master Leong ran two very interesting and challenging sessions, the first for coloured belts, and then in the afternoon for black belts only. They were GREAT sessions and everyone enjoyed them. We are looking forward to learning a great deal more from Master Leong in the future.

Itinerary:

Master Leong will arrive on Friday 12th March 4:10pm.
He arrives on a Quantas flight - Q33 to Ak
This leaves Melbourne Fri 12th 10:45am arriving Auckland 4:10pm.

ITFNZ will entertain him and he will meet with the senior-most people Friday night.

Friday evening Dinner :
Senior Dans (4th+) and Exec
Tipparost Thai Restaurant.

7:00pm. Average Main = $12.50 to $16.00

Saturday morning
Gup Seminar 9 till 12:30
[Demo team will do a 25 min demo at the start]

Saturday afternoon
Dan Seminar 1:30 till 4:30
Mr Pellow's Grading 4:30 onwards

Open to all ITF members

Price: $21:50 They seat 230.
There will be a meeting to discuss the Oceania issue this evening after dinner.
